The company was founded in Holly, Michigan, USA, on
October 20th, 2000, and officially opened its doors on January 6th, 2001.
We are currently an internet based retail business and hope to open a
brick-and-mortar store sometime in the future, and we currently offer our fine
pewter products all across the world, providing a secure and certified shopping
cart which you, our guest, can safely shop without worry.

| Product Returns |
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, the
product was received damaged, or you were sent the wrong product, please
E-mail to

enter in the subject heading RETURN, and indicate in the text box the
item(s) you want to return and state the invoice number. We will
respond by E-mail with an authorization number and shipping instructions. Returns will not be accepted without a valid return authorization number. Merchandise
must be in resalable condition and undamaged. All paperwork and parts of product must be returned in its original packaging. Customer agrees to pay return freight on all returns unless otherwise specifically agreed to by
Griffin Pewter®. Effective Dec. 1, 2000, a restocking fee of 10% will apply to all returns.
Any item may be returned as long as it is within 20 days of receipt,
and you have the original invoice (or bill of sale). The item(s) must
be returned in its original box, unless otherwise specifically agreed to by
Griffin Pewter®.
If an item is backordered or will take longer than the estimated times noted, we will contact you immediately.
If you cancel an order after it has shipped for any reason, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping incurred by
Griffin Pewter®.

Because we are updating our website monthly, it would be
impossible to keep a paper catalog up-to-date, therefore our website is our

Your Online Shopping Safety is of utmost importance to us. When entering our
check-out area, you enter a secure data server. You will see a small lock icon
on the bottom of your browser indicating that you have entered a secure server.
After the transaction is complete, all of the credit card information is
completely wiped off of our system.
If you are not comfortable with using credit cards for your on-line shopping,
you may send a money order or personal check (no foreign checks or money orders
accepted), you will find our printable order
form in the checkout area.

What is "SSL"?
(Secure Sockets Layer) -- A protocol designed by Netscape Communications to enable encrypted, authenticated communications across the Internet.
SSL is used mostly (but not exclusively) in communications between web browsers and web servers. URL’s that begin with “https” indicate that an SSL connection will be used.
SSL provides three (3) important things: Privacy, Authentication, and Message Integrity.
In an SSL connection each side of the connection must have a Security Certificate, which each side’s software sends to the other. Each side then encrypts what it sends using information from both its own and the other side’s Certificate, ensuring that only the intended recipient can de-crypt it, and that the other side can be sure the data came from the place it claims to have come from, and that the message has not been tampered with. |

Foreign Orders |
All orders being shipped outside of the United States are
or may be subject to customs or duties fees. The customer is
responsible for all these. For orders that are being shipped free,
GriffinPewter.com pays for the shipping but the customer is still
responsible for the customs or duties fees.
| Shipping Methods |
All products are shipped by
UPS; however, we can ship via U.S. Postal Priority.
You can expect your purchases anywhere from 5~12 business days by priority U.S. mail; 3~7
business
days by UPS. There is a shipping fee for
U.S. Priority of $5.00 (or more based on total order weight) which is added to your grand total after taxes (if
any). UPS shipping fee's are based on the total weight of the
order (our shopping cart figures this in
real-time, not on a flat fee); therefore shipping fee's may range from $5.00 or more, based on
where your order is going. Please note that all orders are processed
Monday ~ Friday, 11am ~ 7pm EST.

| How to select a shipping method |
Selecting the shipping method is easy. You will find the shipping
methods on the shopping cart page where you enter your name and address
information.
The default shipping method is Priority. If you wish to see the other
forms of shipping we offer, use your mouse to open the shipping methods
box. A list of different methods is shown. Choose one and continue
with entering your name and address information.
When completed click the <continue> button and the shopping cart program
will take you to the final page. This page asks for your credit card
information, it will also display the current shipping charges.
If the choice of shipping is to expensive, use your browsers <back> button
to return to the name and address page and change the shipping method. You
do not need to re-type your name and address again, scroll down instead and hit
the <continue> button. The credit card request page will reload with
the new shipping charges. If this is acceptable, enter your credit card
number and hit <submit> on this page.

| Coupons and Gift Certificates -- how to use them |
When you receive a coupon or gift certificate from us you may use them at any
time before the coupon or gift certificates expiration date.
When you have completed your shopping and are ready to go to the checkout
lanes, the first page of our shopping cart shows the products you have chosen,
and also includes the area for coupons and gift certificates.
Enter the coupon number or gift certificate number in their appropriate box
and press the word "coupon" or "gift certificate" to the
right of the box. The
shopping cart software will automatically enter the discount amount.
Now
press the "Check Out" button and you're on your way to the check out
lanes.

"Cookies" are very small files that the browser or website which
you're
visiting use to store temporary information. Most "cookies" are
deleted after you leave that website or close down your browser. Also if
you have an anti-virus program, this program may delete them for you quietly in
the background.
Griffin Pewter® in itself uses "cookies" only to keep count of
the number of visitors to our website. Our shopping cart service however,
uses "cookies" to store what products you have bought until the
closing of your sale, afterwards, those "cookies" are removed.
